Default GM can't follow suit?

With the way Dodge and Ford shamelessly put their cars in everything possible...

GM manages to get their cars in a movie and it'* big news?

BIG NEWS holy chit that movie is going to been seen by millions why not get the Camaro out in to the publics eye like that and what about the Solstice... that is huge advertising would
likely eat up the entire advertising budget of honda and toyota put together

You also gotta look at the fanbase too. This movie isn't meant for youngsters...it is for us adults that grew up with them. And many of these adults either already drive (or in some cases fly or otherwise operate) many of the vehicles featured, or soon will be. So combine that with "free advertising", and I bet GM will pull some hefty sales figures this summer.

I noticed lots of GM'* (GP'*, Impalas) in Spider-Man 3.
Most of them got crushed one way or another

Too bad they failed horribily at making it retro looking which would have attracted a lot more of the fanbase you are talking about.

They only need the advertising because its ugly.
