GM can't follow suit?
With the way Dodge and Ford shamelessly put their cars in everything possible...
GM manages to get their cars in a movie and it'* big news?

You also gotta look at the fanbase too. This movie isn't meant for youngsters...it is for us adults that grew up with them. And many of these adults either already drive (or in some cases fly or otherwise operate) many of the vehicles featured, or soon will be. So combine that with "free advertising", and I bet GM will pull some hefty sales figures this summer.

They only need the advertising because its ugly.

there were GM'* in "next" also...the agents drove 2007 tahoes and lucernes...and they blew up an old chrysler. i'm such a bonnie nerd, i pointed a 96-99 one out WAAAAY in the background of one scene in a parking lot to my g/f.
