Sounds like something only Ferd would do. Since when does Ferd have rights to YOUR pictures that YOU take of YOUR car? Pathetic.

I love Mustangs and it sucks that Ford sucks. They have been cracking down on using the Mustang name lately too. Apparently they invented the name Mustang so no one can use it in their company name. For example, Mustangs Unlimited has to come up with a new name? Why?? They are the ones supporting your product and providing an aftermarket. Is Ford full of idiots or what. This stuff is really starting to **** off the loyal customers.

Actually, Ford stole the name off the WW2 airplane.
And some actual horse animals were called that long before there was a Ford Motor Company.

thats just nonsense. the horses before Ford came up with the name were just called "horses"

and then they invented the "Mustang" and the equine club liked it so much, they shamelessly broke copyright and name their "horses" "mustangs" instead.

those bath-turds.

The problem exists when you sell pictures of a patented trademark or manufacturers product.
I don't think they would care about pictures otherwise.

If there is any profit or money to be made, Ford wants to make it and are within their rights.

This is true, but MANY companies allow this sort of thing without excersizing their copyright claims. As a courtesy to customers, fan clubs, and to the aftermarket that supports their vehicles, Ford should quit their petty garbage. What do they want? A cut of the profits? How many of those do you think get sold? Ford would get pennies.

This shows just how desperate for money Ford is right now. It'* a damn shame that they're wasting their time going after small time websites instead of spending the money building a car thats worth a damn.

On a side note, I LOVE how they have "censored" all over the top banner of the site, hahaha.

Unreal. I'm noticing that a lot of the members are putting "censored" on their sigs and avs as well.

If ever I needed another reason NOT to own a ford...
