Default gave in and got a new razr

My two year contract with Alltel apparently expired last year and I didn't realize it so I finally sprung and got a new phone/contract. My last phone was an LG VX3100 and at the time was one of the SMALLEST cellphones you could buy. Even today it is much slimmer than most regular cellphones by far. The new Razr phone at the Alltel store caught my eye and decided to look at it. To my luck it was also on sale! The phone is usually over $200 but I picked it up for $99. All I can say is I LOVE it. It gets great reception even though it has no external antennae and its all metal design gives it a very sturdy feel. Even better is how slim it is. I can put it in a front or back pocket without even feeling it'* there. It'* slimmer than a DVD case.. Here'* some pics of it.

It next to my "small" LG phone.

Anyone else have a RAZR here? any horror stories about them, or good? I'd like to get the phone data tools kit so I can download the pictures/videos easily from the camera. It'* over $50 though.. I think I'll look around to find it cheaper.

Have one. Love it. I use Mobile Phone tools, but generally only to synch with my outlook email (schedule/calendar) or to back the phone up. If I want to keep a pic or vid, I just email it to myself. Or bluetooth them to my PDA or laptop.

Them Razr'* are nice. I know a couple of folks here at work with one. The only thing Motorola forgot was the memory expansion slot like My LG 8100 has. But then, they wouldn't be able to make it as thin as it is....

The new SLVR has a mini-SD slot, but I don't like that they made it thicker and scrunched the keypad. No protection for the screen either.

I haven't noticed a lack of built in memory in the RAZR so far. Best phone I've owned or used ever. Battery life is phenomenal, as is signal strength, audio quality, and everything else.

The beauty is you can charge it off a standard USB cable. As long as it'* got at least a 30% charge already.
