Gas Tips
One thing I heard somewhere is also to make sure you twist your gas cap till it clicks at least 3 times otherwise some of your gasoline can evaporate. Apparently a couple million gallons of gas is evaporated every year in the US
Sounds like a load.
I get gas exclusively from Shell. Chevron if no Shell available. Two best top tier fuels available. But thats beside the point of this. I don't care where it comes from really, I just care about the quality of the fuel.
The one place where I care where it comes from is the one station that I NEVER EVER buy gas from. This would be known as CITGO. Hugo Chavez can go to hell. Screw all this pseudo goodwill bullshit about donating heating oil. Do a Google search on it if you aren't on the up and up on the real deal.

Yea I try to go where is cheapest also, but then I got to thinking that whats a few extra cents per gallon? I mean I'll spend that driving around trying to find the cheapest gas
. I was using speedway gas for the longest time just because they give points which then equates to money off per gallon, but then I really don't get good gas mileage (like 15 mpg in the city) and thought I'm gonna switch to shell or bp gas and see what that does.
There'* about 6 similar emails going around, and I've seen all of them debunked. It irks me that people perpetuate the myths by forwarding it before they even bother to look into whether it'* legitimate or not.
Look at gas prices this way:
Some cars here (including both of mine) can match the mileage of the Hyundai Accent, Elantra, Sonata, Azera, and Tiburon on the freeway. Granted, my fuel costs a little more to do that, but look at what I get for that little extra?
None of those cars can begin to compare to the frills, comfort, performance, and handling. Not to mention the safety in driving (comparitively) a tank with excellent crash ratings and a reputation for driver survival.
If gas prices affect us, think about how badly it'* affecting all the people with trucks and SUV'*, not to mention the people that think they're better off driving tiny imports, and don't even know they're not.

I think highway-wise, if you drive wisely, you probably could match or exceed some of the "hybrids" too, or at least come damn close to it.
