Default Gas cap help fast!

my car has a locking gas cap that came with the car when i traded for it. Well its gnna be below freezeing tonight and my gas is in the yellow almost empty but sumone put sumthing in the key slot so i cant fit my key into it to unlock it anyone know how?

I would maybe try and pop it with a screw driver, but have a replacement gas cap ready to go.

What is stuck in there? can you grab it with tweezers?

I cant remember exatly what I did, but many years ago my key broke off in the lock. I seem to remember I was upset and simply grabbed the cap and twisted until it broke loose.

Use a pair of Chan-l-locks. You'll easily break it off. Those locking gas caps are only used to keep the honest people honest.

well i got mad and just jammed a screw driver into it and it came off last night. It looks like someone tried to put a differnt key into it and it broke.
