Yeps its not more than a updated 4 door GTO and we see how well the GTO did here. I would like to think the G8 is a more popular car due to the 4 doors.

the GTO failed because it was so freaking boring looking... it looks like a grand am with rumble in the tailpipes....

The G8 actually shows some intelligent styling cues to is, and also will definitely sell better as a 4 door

It'll absorb Grand Prix buyers, which we know there are lots of. It really has pretty little in common with the GTO. I'm fairly certain it'll be just as popular as, say, a 5 series, but cheaper.

Which is why I said updated GTO. Anyway the G8 is a great grand prix replacment. Dont know why so many people compare it to the Bonneville which has been dead for 2 years :?
