Default G6 GTP

Well, I was looking at cars for when I get out of school, and I was looking at the new G6 GTP on Pontiac'* website. I was interested in this car until I saw the gas milage ratings:
18 City
24 Highway
How can the milage be that bad on this car? I understand that it'* the "high output" G6, but c'mon, thats LS2 powered GTO territory...

The new GTP has a 3.69 gear ratio on the auto version and 3.55 on the 6-speed manny. That doesn't seen too steep to me.

One reason is that it weighs more than a 92-99 bonneville.

Second it is not a 3.9l, not the 3.5. GM should have just gone with the Series III L67. I dont understand their reasoning at all there.

Doesnt it have the 3.6 VVT engine? If so that mileage does suck.

Wow, I never realized how much of a pig these cars are. Over 3400 lbs. on the base 4-door is horrible.

You guys are all misinformed. A 3800 is HEAVY. LS1'* are lighter. That'* why GM is getting away from them. it'* a 3.9L VVT, 240 HP and something torque lol. I bet the highway milage will ROCK with the new transmission. I'll take it over any bonne any day.

The Tranny? 6 Speed manual. (This is important)
