Default The Future of Advanced Driver Safety Features.

Hi all,
I was curious if you could give me your thoughts.
What would you want out of your ADAS systems?
What feature would you like to see in a Driver Safety System?
Pre Collision, Blind Spot, Full speed Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning: Just to name a few...

What new features would you like to see?
What do you like or hate about systems you may currently own/heard about?

I know some people hate the fact that we are becoming more disconnected with actually driving our vehicles, but what do you think the future holds?
Are you happy about the way the future is going?
Please give me your thoughts.
Thanks.

Quite honestly, I really like the direction that Tesla is going. Ludicrous power, full autonomy, 200+ mile electric range. The only way it could be better would be dragging around a generator for the extended trips.

I also would like to be able to turn it all off in the event I want to lean on it and do something fun. Or even save the "Fun Stuff" for a second vehicle.

It'* like the whole Automatic vs Manual transmission debate. On a day to day commuter basis, I enjoy living with the Auto, but there are also times that I would love to grab a stick and row some gears.

Little bit touchy there Mike?
Not trying to ruffle any feathers. I have posted this question to several other forums in order to get opinions from the "Do'ers" of America.
Car Nuts...
Mechanics...
People who are more connected to their cars rather than the people who just put gas in the tank and drive.

I have learned over the last 15 years over at the Roadfly forums that there is a vast untapped resource for people who love everything about their vehicles. People who get down and dirty with their cars features. Those who bought them with a specific use in mind.

Some wish their cars had what others do. Others, wish their vehicles did something else.
I want to pick their brains.

We all know what'* coming for the future.
I'd like to know how they feel about it. What are their concerns.
What would they like to see?
So,
I'm just asking for input.

I thought this would be one of those places to find some good information.
Thanks for reading.

I have the right to be touchy. One of my many jobs here is to protect our members and the site owners best interest. If you are a spammer, I'll stop you right at the door and have you conduct an about face, move out and draw fire somewhere else. This is the first time I've seen anyone come here asking questions like this. Makes me think your going to start dropping links here to re-direct members. I can speculate even further of all the things I think you might be attempting to do here. Tread lightly sir.
