I keep forgetting about this picture I took the other day. This is a fuel injector for a Cummins ISX15 485HP diesel engine in one of our trucks. Occasionally, these injectors fail. But what intrigued me was its massive size compared to, say, one of our 3800 injectors. Which is about the size of a bottle of nail polish.
Good picture of that diesel injector Mike, and it re-inforces what I've always heard about diesels, all you need to do to them to make power (especially torque) is throw more fuel to them.

LOL, those are clean and groomed compared to my normal standards Art.
I'll grab a 3800 injector and take to work so I can do a side by side comparison next time.
