Here in good ol Ohio, we just got nailed with a freezing rain/sleet/snow storm, and my 02 Focus SVT was out in all the craziness. I had the emergency brake on while it was parked, and now when i try to move the car, the back passenger tire remains staionary and just slides... Any ideas to unstick the brake caliper?

- i was thinking using brake cleaner, or de-icing spray... any input?

All you have to do is find a nice DRY surface and back up really fast. That happened with my friend'* accord, and it was fun getting it unstuck. BTW, glad you finally found a car. Too bad it was a Ford

BTW I still have the bonnie, and the SVT is twice the car the bonnie is.
But i still love it

-anyways its hard to find dry pavement when everything is covered in ice, and snow still and im not in any position to drive the car and risk ruining my rear brake, or tire for that matter, which is why I want to try and break down the ice first, and then move, avioding any larger problems.

oh, and my bad on not putting this in the lounge, how do i move it there?

yeah i would say warm water, and then make sure to get the brakes hot to dry it all out. otherwise you'll recreate the problem

After thawing, brake cleaner would be great. It'll remove the remaining moisture.

I was thinking warm water, but I was afraid of it re-freezing afterwards, unless I spray some brake cleaner in there afterwards... yeah, I think thats what my plan of action will be... warm water to break down the ice, and then some brake cleaner to remove the remaining moisture, thanks guys!
