My cell phone is my only phone. I got really tired of all the BS calls I would get on a land line, and for two cell lines, I pay about the same amount as i was paying for a land line

that is sad!! You need to reach out and touch someone Cellphones are handy if you break down and live in rural areas like I do, plus I can communicate when away from home since they don't have too many payphones around and they cost a bunch of money to use. I use the camera every once in a while.

I thought about doing that but didn't for a couple of reasons.
- the phone would always go missing since the cordless does every day.
- it would be difficult to get 2 to 3 people on one end of the phone using the same extension to sing happy birthday,or on long distant calls, etc.
- who would carry the phone, presently we have 10 phones through out the house including one in the garage and workroom.
- we wanted a seperate answering machine so that we could record conversations and leave messages when leaving the house.

I never really use the cell, I aways use the home phone to reach out and touch some one. There are so many pay phones, but I find I never really need to use them since I never really break down and if I did, I fend for my self. I don't like the picture quality of the cell phone and when I tried to use it once to take a picture of my daughter at a pool party, I was told not to.

The Missus and I each have our own phones, so it'* not an issue at my house

No answer to that one, except that I can call The Missus, and vice versa

But, cell phones ain't for everybody. Matter of fact, some people should be forbidden to have them...

My wife got a free phone w/10 minutes on it when she was getting more TracFone minutes cards for our son, so now I have a TracFone and after 2 months I still had 7 minutes left.

The 'minutes' cards are good for two months, so far they have been buy 1 get 1 free at the website so for about $3.50/month I have a true emergency phone and no one has the number except my wife, so no one can waste my minutes with bs...

She did get another of the free phones too, if ANYONE wants it, let me know.
