Default Fix a broken cd?

So, i have a CD with a a bunch of photos form when my little one was a few months old up to a year or so. THese are teh only pics we have of that age range, they are not hosted or saved on any puter. Well, the missus dropped the disc than ran it over with the puter chair.
There is about a 1 inch crack it one of the edges, and of course, the drive won't read the disc.
Is there anyway to kind of fix that crack, at least enough to get the other pics not effected by the crack. I mean, one crack can't have ruined all of the pics could it? I don't quite get how a cd works, but I would have to think some of the data is readable.

Another thing to examine is the label side. Thats the read data side of the disc, the clear plastic side just focuses the laser onto the bottom layer of the label.
How bad is the label side damaged?

I know of a GREAT data recovery company that I've used personally and professionally. It will cost you nothing to try... they only charge you if they are able to get the data off it. If they can't they will send you the disk back to you.

PM me if you'd like the details.
