that is amazingly expensive, here i pay 7-11 for a microbrew 6-pack.. very rarely are they more than that

I brew a full case of good quality beer for about the same cost as Bud on sale. If I were to get more involved, I could lower that cost as well. But that takes more time.

BTW, the hop shortage has nothing to do with global warming.

JMH, why is your beer so expensive and hombrewing ingredients so cheap?

I think I should take up home brewing.

At least I don't need beer to get me to work every day. I can live with higher beer prices.

But next to no taxes on home brew supplies........ For years I've been expecting some bean counter in government to figure that one out.

Funny this topic started this morning before I came to work.

When I got to my desk, I had a bag of hops sitting there in a ziploc baggie for my next batch.

I have a friend who grows hops. And they have an artesian well.
