First Day of school
#11
Thanks Fuel, this child not only is deaf/blind he has what is known as "C.H.A.R.G.E." syndrom, he is tube fed, he just learned to walk last year (he is 7) he is autistic, he is now riding a bike.........I have far to much fun with him!!! I love working with him, I am not his regular T.A., but I do cover for those who are, and we are now teaching him sign, it is slow, and if he learns one sign in six months, that is a good thing. Today I got to walk around the school with him during my lunch hour supervision.....He can sure motor along, he is starting to walk faster than me!!!!

I think that kids should have to go to school all year long. Having summer vacations only gives them a false sense of reality. Wouldn't we all like to get a few months off of work for summer break and a week at Thanksgiving and two weeks for Christmas break??? Teach the kids reality. I also think that all the people we deal with ie: power co, phone, satellite/cable, credit cards, etc should not make us pay in December as a Christmas present to their customers. That would be nice but it will never happen :(
