Have to keep a running tally of these, but definately had god with me today. No big deal with the IEDs and such round here, but I was walking from the motor pool on my way back to the barracks, heard a shrill and what sounded like a rippling sound in the air and it was a 107mm Katusha Rocket that landed about 75 meters from me. Kinda pushed me to the side, made my ears ring, which they are now still, and a headache. Hearts still doin the whole pitter patter thing, but otherwise Im royally pissed off as usually following a mortar attack cause we basically just sit here and take it vs sending outgoing rounds to kill'em. Im really starting to hate this place...SOB they are doing it again Later

This is the type of **** there is. It wouldve gone through my body armor just as easily.

Well....we lost one of our own last night in an IED attack on a patrol. Im pretty much tore up. He has a damn six month old new born and another kid and a wife back home. I so ******* sick of this ****
