Some C3'* had 180 HP.... C4'* are much lighter, have great suspension, and a nicely maintained one will do 14'* at least... LT1 will be faster etc.

DO NOT pick on any ZR-1.

my '79 had 225 stock. low 15'* were about the best they could do.

Get a lot of wheel hop out of it?

when we got the car it had a buick 307 in it for some reason. never ran it with that motor. since then it'* been brought back to factory specs(well, lightly modded). dynoed on a mustang dyno 301 hp 369 tq and ran 14.0 @ 105 last year with a 2.5 60'(stock size bfg radial t/a'*)

I beat a bone stock 79 Vette back when I had my 1994 SLE at the 1/8 track -any further and he'd have easily run me down, but all to the low end power of the mildly modded L27.

When I had an 84 , the best I could get out of it was a 15.1 . When I had a 85 , I went from a 14.9 (stock) to a 14.3 (modified). The 85 was great off the line, hardly any wheelspin, it'd just hook.

the 84 was the crossfire injection and the 85 had the tuneport injection

I know not to mess with any 90'* Vetts unless i'm well modded. Hey, I found out that track I ran at has a website with pics. I'll post some.

The 84'* get a bad rap. Yes they aren't fast , but they handle awesome, even with the base suspension. The TPI cars are better, but fall flat on their face after 120 .
