Finally got to run there, unfortunately, it wasn't my car.... I ran a well modded '00 Plymouth Neon that my buddy has because he had to work.
First run sucked, the guy running the tree started it the moment after I staged so I didn't have time to bring my rev'* up and bogged pretty badly off of the line, ended up with a 16.110@87.35mph. Horrible 2.549 60' but hey, first run EVER on a sanctioned track...
The next five runs I ran anywhere from a 16.014-16.097, consistant 86-87mph traps and a consistant 2.3 and some 2.4 60'.
Up until the last three, runs, I ran what I came up there with, 50psi in the front tires, nothing prepped, and it ran consistant 16 flat, lowered the front tires to 18psi, put the passenger seat all the way up, threw anything I could of substantial weight in front of the passenger seat, slid my seat up a bit and got a 15.946@87.33mph with a 2.435 60', and a 15.911@86.73mph with a 2.405 60'. (Almost a 15.8... dammit!!)
In total I got eight runs in myself, came up with two others and they got the same amount of runs in.
Not the fastest obviously, but keep in mind that a stock Neon LX runs around a 17.4xx...... So he'* shaved a good two seconds off of the stock time.
My buddy, he has a '90 Tsi Awd, started off with a HORRIBLE 15.1xx, ended the day with a 14.3xx@93.xxmph, and the other started and finished with a 18.02x in his Auto Escort ZX2, with just an intake.
Great day, had an absolute blast up there, and saw some amazing, jaw dropping things, like a C5 ZO6 running a 14.2!!!!
I have video of all but one run I did, all of the Talons, and Escorts, as well as others of course. I'll have them up A.*.A.P. Until then, here'* the slips from my runs in the Neon, and some pictures.
