MOST of the time they give the family a pretty substantial amount of cash as well.

That'* awesome. My wife thinks I'm a big wimp... that show gets me cry too. I prolly would have been parked at the building site all week just to watch it go up so quickly.

Taxes on the property were $1300 a year. They'll be about $5k a year now, but the family also has NO MORTGAGE now. In addition, even though this house is much larger, it'* also much more efficient. Utility bills should go down.

Their travel costs between the hospital in Portland and home will also be decreased, since the house is now 'clean' enough for her to recover from chemo treatments at home now.

There are enough offsetting costs to make it at least a financial 'wash'. I'm quite sure there'* two new cars in the garage, too.

Very cool!!! I thought they always tried to make sure the family could afford the new house. Too bad those cars in the garages are probably Fords. Well, hey, I'd take a brand new Ford right about now I guess.

The missus just sent me a link to one that they just did in Idaho. They started it on the 11th and the family comes home tommorrow. I am suprised none of our Potato growing memebers (jk) mentioned it.

So did they go from a shack to a mansion?
She shouldn't laugh at you. It shows you are compassionate and that is an admirable quality in a man

If it started on the 11th, they're overlapping them, and Ty Pennington is spending some time flying back and forth. Ours was revealed on the 14th.
