I'm seeing somthings...

The Ls1 engine is running less power then littly moded l67 with that tranny, and are you guys having problems? or huge ammounts of torque steer? although an extra hundred pounds might add to torque steer, but still..

I was referring to the 90'* Imp SS as well, the Lt1, 260 HP 330 Lb/ft. Series III L67 is 260 HP and 330lb/ft managed down to 280 by the PCM.
Id like to see a dyno sheet please of around 280 FWTQ stock, thanks
GM rates their engines at the crank. The 240hp and 280 tq is crank. But that'* very underrated. All of them produce more than that, enough that a couple simple mods push them beyond that point at the wheels very easily.

Tofu, the L67 puts out 240/280 at the CRANK (underrated for the sake of fairness).
The LS1 puts out 300/320 at the WHEELS. Now remember we're not talking the beefier H body, we're talking W body!

The idea was to see what kind of real-world horsepower gains we could generate with only a few simple bolt-ons. Enlisting the help of Mike Taylor and his stock ’99 LS1 SS Camaro, we baselined the SS on the Morgan Motorsports chassis dyno in Reseda, California. Initial numbers revealed an impressive 305 hp and 322 lb-ft of torque. Next we plugged in the Hypertech Power Programmer III (PP3) into the data link connector and waited 10 minutes for the non-reformulated gas (non-RFG) tune to upload into the LS1 computer (see sidebar “Gas Is Gas...Right?”). Back on the dyno, we immediately witnessed the horsepower jump to 312 with the new lb-ft figures reading at 328.

LS1 is 350 HP.....

Anywho, the L67 has been DYNO'd @ 281 FWTQ by members here, stock. This engine puts out 330lb/ft about when not controlled byt he GM PCM and just hooked up on it'* own. It'* a supercharged V6, give it some credit.

This is my last post in here.

Think of the possibilities of having the LS1, stock in a Bonny, instead of the N*. Easy LS6 swap!! If they put that in the GXP in a few years, sign me up.

Or, if they sold the drivetrain itself, I'd put it in mine. Obviously get a normal LS1 with 350hp.

In an H body. I said I'd either buy a GXP with it, as long as it'* not detuned (yes, I know it'* not an H), or put it in mine.

Wait, in the reading, it says 260hp. In the table at the bottom, it says 371.9hp. I'll take that one.

I wouldn't pay for a brand new LS1 Impala....it would cost way too much. I WOULD pay for a 1996 Impala SS though.
