Where'd the built in GPS come from? You can get On Star, which has GPS capabilities, but the black box monitors speed and other stuff. There'* a thread with a link to the exact info hiding somewhere..

And as far as the attitudes against cops, you can't hate them all for the actions of one. You have thousands of civilians doing the exact same thing (killing others due to pure stupidity) every day, but since they aren't wearing a badge, they don't make the front page. I was a cop, and some of my co-wokers were great people, some were pure putzes (to keep the language clean).

It is a shame that the innocents died, and from the information the media gave us, it does sound bad for the cop, but hard core street racers are in general a bigger hazzard than the police any day.

There was only two witness that said they were chasing anything at all and those two are both being sued.
