Chicken Little is an old childrens book of a chicken that insists the sky is falling. I'd go further into it but Wiki has me covered. ;-P.
I used to just use radar as a "gauge" of things to Guns, but there are things like baro pressure, leading fronts, available moisture, and wind speeds and directions that play into forecasters plots. I seen some awful storms dump on us here in the east where I didn't see it coming from the west.
Ya never know. Just got back from the store in town and it was swamped. Seems everyone around hears is listening to Chicken Little cluck.

Our problem will be the winds will shift from the north east, so right off the lake. I checked things yesterday. I'm set food wise for a week. The wife went to pick up milk and a few other things today. I'm on a well, so as long as I have power I have water. I think it'* a 300 gallon pressure tank so even if power goes out I have water, just no heat then.
We have locations at work down in St. Louis, MO and they're already starting to get hammered. I think if the storm continues moving the way its expected to, it will be a wild ride out here. Its definitely happening. Whether or not it will reach us is the question I suppose, but this is more than just a hunch, seems like every single forecast is 100% sure we're going to get at least a foot, if not two.

Lucky our GMF server sits in a Data Center in Texas. When the power goes out around here, I just fire up the generator and plug the phone line into the computer. Nothing like surfing the net @ 56kps.
Some forecasters just pushed it up to 22-28 inches locally and put out a blizzard warning for tonight as well as tomorrow instead of just tomorrow. I have a feeling we will indeed get hammered.

Here'* some new pretty grim forecasts amid the National Weather Service'* new forecast map.
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/cap...est_north.html
This is for Tuesday @ 7AM -7PM Thursday and doesn't reflect on what'* on the ground now or overnight. I'm in that little gray 18-20 dot in the middle of the red in Northeast PA. Looks like Bill'* gonna get whacked as well.
