It'* funny how many of my friends say my tires are noisy on my truck. My mechanic buddy cringes if I smoke them. They are some michelin'* with an aggressive tread. Sure the truck is a work vehicle, but it'* also the "get me there in anything" vehicle. Sure they are all seasons. I think what some of you mean to say is ... the right tire and tread pattern for the right vehicle.

I've had a lot of different combos of cars and tires. What I've found is there is a right tire for every car, but not every car behaves the same as the next with the same tire.

But yeah..snows would be nice...til then..I got serious tread.

Meanwhile on the ATV.. 2" lugs on the tires. Until I'm off the ground, high centering... 4 wheel locked posi gets me through a LOT of stuff. Even when the skid plates are plowing snow.

My wife, for the first time actually listened to me when she got her new set of tires. I explained to her that tread pattern is a big deal. And all season tires are not really all season in a equal way. Some are better in summer and wet, others are better in snow, some wear slow, others wear fast. A tread pattern that has a solid ridge all the way around is going to do bad in the snow, but will be quite on the road. She got a set that has a broken pattern. She read the reviews and wasn't happy with them. But she actually listened and got them. And wow, talk about great in the snow.

Same weather here. It'* been misting all day long, so everything is wet. Forecast calls for freezing temperatures, snow, and single-digit lows later in the week.

In other news, my front license plate holder decided that it'* love-tapped one too many iced-over snowbanks and fell off. Might need a couple nuts to reattach it this time.
