The Energy Department expects gas prices to peak near $3.40
Oh if a certain few schmucks here get their way, we'll have a carbon tax too, Oregon will probably be one of the first :?
I just don't drive as much anymore. I think my freak out price will be around 5 bucks. It'* around 130 to fill up my truck right now(which is why i don't drive it right now), but even at 5 bucks it'll be less than 100 to fill the bonne.

fuel prices won't stop my driving, they'll just increase my complaining..
I myself, being a Pontiac guy since my first car, have given up to the fact that I can't afford low fuel economy cars anymore, no matter how much cheaper they are to buy due to rapid depreciation (the exact reason we bought the GXP). The GXP is mainly garaged and only used on long trips. Sadly, the SSE will need replaced in about two years and it'* going to have to be something that is either hybrid or +40 mpg. Either way it will be bland and uninspiring if the current crop of such cars is any indication. While I would love a G8, I simply can't afford another thirsty car.
