This last weekend I was in Colorado Springs and I decided to drive the entire way up to the top of PIKES PEAK, elevation 14,110ft. You wouldn't believe how many vehicles I passed on the way up that had pulled over because they over heated! But, did my bonnie over heat, HELL NO, I went straight to the top without stopping averaging 35mph the whole way. Not too shabby if I do say so myself. The drive is quite nerve racking though, at some points you have over a 10% grade and when you look out the front windshield all you see is blue sky. OH, DID I MENTION, NO GUARD RAILS at all. It is a 20ft wide dirt road after 9,445ft and it stays dirt from there to the top. Well, it was definitly a drive to remeber, and the view from the top was awesome.

Hope you have flaps to save your undercarriage lights from rocks! I envy you. Pike'* would be cool. So would a couple laps at Indy....or maybe Bristol!

I TAKE HWY 33, UP TO PINE MT. ELIVATION IS ABOUT 5500 ft. LUXURY W/ ALTITUDE .....
