Default Ebay selling fees

I sold a set of tires and wheels on Ebay last week (Blizzak tires used once- like new, on flawless rims). Bidding started at $700, buy it now at $850. Someone used the buy it now function, the tires sold for $850.

Received the invoice today from Ebay, $76.00. I had to check into it, I usually only buy on Ebay. Sure enough, Ebay charges a 9% commission. I had no idea Ebay made that kind of money off a internet auction ad.

I will think twice before selling on Ebay.

Yeah it'* a huge ripoff but unless you can sell local on something like Craigslist what choice do you have?

I still use them a lot. Haven't had much to sell lately though lol. I ALWAYS pay my fees right after printing shipping label. That way I don't have to worry about it later and wind up spending the money that would've been used to cover the fees.
