They said "$1,200 and it shouldn't happen again" I would have said "COLOURFULL WORDS........For $1,200 bucks....I wanna hear IT WON'T EVER HAPPEN AGAIN and I want a guarantee!" But I'm also kinda a ***** like that. Anywho, welcome home, glad all went well for the rest of the time, and your pics rock! Been to most of them places....definantly no justice with a camera. Bet the missus hasn't touched any alcohol since the first night, sounds like it kinda ruined her vacation lol

Ouch!!! Should have told them to order the Series II TB -> Series III UIM from WPI, and had them put an Series III aluminum upper intake on. Thats a better fix. But, glad to hear it'* fixed.

Those pix -thanks for reminding me of one of the biggest reasons why I want to go back to my dads home state. He grew up in Woonsocket, SD, which is only about 30 miles from Mitchell.
The Corn Palace IS so incredible -as awesome as the pics are they just can't do it justice. The place is HUGE when you consider how often they redo the place in corn by hand -something like 2-3 x a year.
The Badlands - CRAZY!!!
Rapid City -don't go there between July 1st and Labor Day -the crowd and the dry heat -too much for this Minnesotan who likes hot -just not dry hot.
Mount Rushmore is really cool. Gotta see this.

Yup, cruise set for between 70 and 75 most of the way, and it took just about half a tank.

I love my 3800....

i think that the bottom half of our tanks are mis-shaped and the halfway marker on the tank is more like 1/3 on the gauge. i can usually get about 200 miles and have the gauge say halfway, but then i only get another 100 miles off the last half. are you saying you can get 500 miles to a tank? the most i have pulled off is 350 or so

This was my first chance to test a full hiway trip, so I can't verify any nmbers for that. But I usually get about 250-275 miles on 3/4 of a tank in daily rush hour driving...

MOS excellent pics!! My son was there a few years back with my parents. I had to work so I missed all the fun.
I'm glad you and your wife had fun despite the troubles. I was trying to picture your poor wife hungover with you driving. That is what memories are made of.
