Do they have an auto club? If so, then join up cause right then and there you'll have something in common with everyone there. The rest will just take it'* course.
Course this works will other interests, just that was the first I thought of.

Yeah, give it more then a week. I don't think I really even started liking any part of this until a couple months in. And the door thing, I'm not sure why it worked for me, since most of the people I met were female.

how about we have a bon fest in your dorm. im sure we'll draw some attention to your dorm. I know all we need is a few NE'rs to relly get things moving

Don't take dorm life forgranted.


On average, it takes me one and a half to two hours to commute each way to school on public transit, depending on if/where I can get dropped off and picked up - daily.

If I start class late (not this term), I go downtown (takes 1hr) to Ryerson University to hang out with the g/f. I then leave and take two hours to get to school (subways are fast).

The lengths I go to.......... but it'* all worth it

What school? I spent 5 semesters down at Illinois State and lived on the same floor the whole time, just switched rooms. Wasn't so bad once you got used to the people. That'* how you make friends, just start talking to people.

i'm enjoying dorm life

Man, most people I know around here would KILL for a single room (no roommate). You should be glad you don't have someone else'* annoying habits to deal with. And your own bathroom? Holy cow, that'* an effeciency apartment you've got!!

As suggested, just get involved in some activities outside the building and you'll find others to hang out with. It'* probably better you're on a preppy floor... less likely the police will get called b/c of some drunk idiot and you'll end up in the middle of it.

ya im starting to like it. and yes the door open thing is working i have met a few ppl. oh btw im at kent state university. um i stay in what the kids on campus call the hilton of the dorm rooms, or where the preppy kids live. either way i love the fact that i have my own bathroom but for what im paying to live here for 4 months it should have a maid that comes in a cleans too. but ya ive been meeting a few girls and guys here on campus. guys here are all about drinkin beer and playing halo but the girls just wanta hang out and talk, wtf is that???? lets go do something ya know!!!! but eather way if anyone wants to stop by feel free to do so. but eather way im gonna go to sleep i have a math test at 8 in the morn and its 1230 now..... **** then after that i have to do a short speech at about 930 then im done for the day!!!! the speech part wont kill me im usta talking to a large group of ppl. but later all.
