Default Disappearing Doors

I saw this and thought it was pretty cool Disappearing Car Doors: A Revolutionary Concept in Car Technology & Design

The amount of car modifications to make this a reality would be incredible!

Can't see the video where I am but I think I saw those. Very cool, but I think snow and ice might be a real problem for me.

Thats been posted here before, but before your tenure here. Never the less, pretty cool. Pretty much a Show or California type mod. I wouldnt want it on a daily driver. Rain and freezing weather would make this a mod you wished you hadnt done. I know a few lambo door owners that have fits after the big freeze. I couldnt imagine all the problems with that system in the winter.

The snow and ice was exactly what I was thinking a problem might be as well. I'm not sure how the door seals would work, but I can only imagine they would be a source of future problems and leaks as door use increased.

Seal and the crap that would have to get into a very close fitting track the door slides into. cant be much tolerance there and leave room for ground clearance. Talk about "hurry up and close the door, It"* raining"

I can see it now...you've opened the door near a puddle and your getting ready to get out. Along comes a big old truck who plows through the puddle. In an instant you now have a need for an entire interior car clean and a trip to the dry cleaners as well. This would of course be entirely the type of luck I can expect!

Would be an ultra cool mod though, Especially if you added a couple of the old school Monte Carlo swivel bucket seats in.
