I got a Gateway dc-m42 it was $150 after rebate an its a 4megapixle camera its decent but not the best by any means nice features an ease of use but unless you get recharagable batterys your not gonna be pleased, an I prefer sd/mmc cards over compact flash just personal preference so thats another thing that sold me on it
hey hoov
I have the 720 and have taken all the pics that are poseed on here with that camera. you can see more pics at my cardomain site. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/464476
If you take pics with the screen off the batteries last a lot longer. One recommendation is that you go to walmart and buy yourself energizer rechargeable batteries. they work very well with this camera
any ?'* dont be afraid to ask

ahhhh... a subject near and dear to my heart.
just picked up (w/in the last 10 days) my own cannon a60 2 megapixel camera. love it, wouldn't trade it for anything. why?
it has the expandibility to grow with my needs and desires - it has the capability to do sooo much more than what i need right now, which means no needing to buy a new camera in 2 years.
2 megapixels makes for a nice 8x10 (really, i have a few that weren't even at high quality off a 2 mega hp) despite what marketing gurus may try to get you to think, so don't instantly jump at the higher number (like jumping at mhz on a computer imho).
it'* got a great 3x optical zoom, and if you look on price grabber, you can get it for about 150.
i choose electric sam as the seller, though it was a woppin 50 cents more or something - got the camera in two days flat, brand new in the box. with shipping to michigan, i think i paid in the neighborhood of 160 or 165 dollars.
welllll worth it. with a set of energizer rechargable batteries (think 2100 mhA, but my wife picked them up, so i'm not sure), i haven't had to recharge once - and that'* after about 120 pictures, several movies, playing with it all the time, and uploading pics to the computer.
<end rant>
i love that thing, and can't imagine having any other camera...

1993 SLE i went to you cardomain site and looked around and those pics are pretty good. kinda the type of pics i want. good quality. with a few exceptions. and id like to know what caused them if you can remember. the following are the exceptions....

with the exception of those and actually a couple more but i didnt wanna show all of em....ANYWAY
from my understanding the 720 comes with like 16mb? of internal memory. but you also have the option of adding an SD Memory card. which brings me to my next question...do you have to have a card reader attached to your PC to get the pics off of the memory card? or can you send them via the camera itself.

Hoov, you can do either. The camera comes with a cable, or you can use a reader. You might also want to consider getting a photo printer at some point that the card can be inserted into.
I have the HP Photosmart100, and the HP PSC 2175xi, which both have this capability.

perhaps sometime i might get a photo printer. but i mean the main thing i want it for would be like to take pics of my car and share em online. or take pics of my friends. and to share the pics of the monster does i always manage to kill every deer season
basically to have a little photo album on my hard drive. i mean how often do ppl sit down and look through their giant albums of film photos? maybe once or twice a year. so the rest of the time they sit around and take up valuable shelf space.then film and developing rips ya a new one. but im off topic again. im a rambler my nature. i get it from my mom
