While I admit Sirius did take a significant chunk of market share away from XM, Delphi'* financial problems go much deeper than that, and are primarily rooted in mismanagement while under GM. Sirius was the proverbial straw that broke the camel'* back.

I believe OEM workings of delco were incorporated into delphi, which is the main OEM supplier for GM. GM has partial ownership in delphi, but it is a separate company, whereas delco was a GM subsidiary. Vistoen is the equivilent for ford, they produce their radios, HVAC exupiment, etc. but are not owned completely by ford. Autolite is another name that comes to mind.

I belive that the reason Sirius took away marketshare from XM is because of two words:

Howerd Stern

which by the way signed a 5 year $500 Million dollar deal. Now thats Serious!!

Most overpayed idiot in the world. I can't stand these retarded "shock jocks." He was one of the reasons I went with XM over Sirius (I know XM has "Opie and Anthony" but it'* the principle of not supporting that moron Stern)

Over 7,000 blue colar jobs are being cut in Michigan. Those are in the already depressed areas: Flint, Saginaw, Detroit. Only one plant will remain in Michigan, Coopersville, near Grand Rapids.
