Default Crickets

I moved into my new apartment October of 2007. Since I moved in during the fall season, I never thought anything of having a marsh literally located within 30 feet of the back of my apartment. Now that it'* spring, there are crickets out and dear lord let me tell you that they are LOUD at night. I kid you not if I walk out my back door onto the patio they're just about deafening. Really hurts the ears. I totally looked over that when moving into an apartment with "protected wetlands" directly behind it. Ear plugs anyone? haha.

The sad thing is that I'm watching TV when I filmed that. If you turn it up you can hear it in the background. It'* at 1/4 volume, and only about five feet behind me facing TOWARD me. Can barely hear it huh? LOL. I've also gotta get orkin out here because I have ants coming up between the wall and carpet behind my computer desk. I have no idea where they're coming from, but I see probably one scurrying across my desk every half hour or so. Pretty annoying.

I have 2 ponds in my backyard. So multiply your crickets by 4 and you have what I have. But seriously after awhile you won't notice it to bad. It'* really kind of soothing on a warm night with the window open and crickets chirping....I cant wait for summer

I agree, but I also think it is a personal thing, not universal. :P
