Knowing what I know about C/H bodies, I am betting they get $3k for it.
Seems like the 92-99 (especially the last few years) have fewer model specific issues than the 2000+ did. You go to 2000+, you are fighting with window regulators, wheel hubs, fuel door rot, etc.
Not even counting the premium a 20 year old rust free car can command in the NE.
I thought the same thing as you until I started browsing CL for 87-91 C/H Bodies up in Detroit.
I dunno, a 20+ year old car with no OEM parts on dealer shelves is a negative point. Granted, there a plenty of hard engine parts due to end-of-production for 3800 parts in 2015ish. But, interior electronics will be hard to find.
I'd think you would get it for that price. Might have to wait for the Seller to agree to that price, just not a demand vehicle. My issue would be subframe corrosion. Looks clean in pics, but.......
Even though I know photos can be deceiving, I like how clean in appearance that 98 is. Was that garage stored?
I'd be tempted to go have a look at that Mike, and talk em down the best ya can, if it pans out in great all working condition.
If you are looking for a Bonnie, I think this one can be had for about $675 paid in total to Copart. If you like it, I can pick it up and town it to you. Find a replacement door and fix the right rear quarter panel. I do not see signs of rust at the gas filler area. Have to act quickly- auction is tomorrow (I have an account and can bid for you).
Sorry I missed your post Mike. My internet at home has been down since tuesday and I got a new phone at the same time which I couldn't program google authenticator on it, which prevents me from logging in to here.
All is well Mike. I ended up buying it. If for any reason you are in need of one, just let me know. I have not seen it yet, will pickup later this afternoon. It looked clean, I liked that the coolant overflow was clean and orange. I do not like that it was living in NY (possible undercarriage corrosion). Maintenance records show it was new GM dealer maintained.
