Guess I should put my callsign down too, KE5JAZ, not active on anything yet, but when I was a ham before (late80'* and 90'*) I loved HF, really looking forward to 40 thru 10 meters. Went thru all my paperwork from past years and could only find one QSL card out of the many that used to grace my bedroom walls.

Still waiting for Cheetah, TelePlayer, Sid Coleman, and dakotaslt49. I found another thread relating to amatuer radio.

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...hlight=amateur

I wouldn't advise replying to it because it'* over 2 years old.

Mine use to be like that too. Got a pic around here somewhere. Had a bug catcher on a hitch, a 50MHZ antenna, 2 145MHZ antenna'* and a 144/445MHZ antenna on it. 5 antenna'*. The guys that ran the gaurd shacks on Fort Drum would ask me questions about all the antenna'*. I always told them that I was a spy from China. I said that to the wrong guy once and ended up spending half a day down at the MP station explaining the reason for all the radio'* and antenna'*.

Thats how my 71 GTO was in high school. I had 3 whips on the trunklid. One for 144mhz, one for 70cm, one for CB (for my buddies who werent hams.

One friend had dual bumper mount 102" whips on a 78 Chevy Monza. Now that looked odd on such a small car. Those were fun days.
