Default Computer help. Search bar from h***

I have this search bar installed on my computer that I cannot get rid of. It'* very annoying because eveyrtime you go to the task bar it pops up. I have tried going to add/remove programs to uninstall it, and there is no program to uninstall. I have tried spybot search and destroy. Nothing. I've tried Adaware... nothing. I'm out of ideas. There isn't even a process in teh task manager that makes the d*mn thing work either! any ideas? This is what the thing looks like (lower right hand corner right above the clock)

Its somewhat crude but usually does the job for me. Just be careful, it shows you CHANGES and not necessarily spyware so don't go on a deleting spree. Just find something that either looks out of place or flat out says "search bar" (many do amazingly).

Did you install anything new lately? Sometimes freeware comes with that crap and is a necessary evil for the program to run.

well, I tried everything possible. even went into task manager and stopped the service, located the folder where it was installed and still could not get rid of it. I ended up right clicking the hidden folder it was installed in, and changed the security settings so that "system" was denied rights to the folder. That fixed it now, the program can no longer load because windows cannot access the folder... it'* still on my computer but it can't run any longer. Even though I am logged in as the administrator I could not get into the folder to delete the .exe file! Even with full access I can't delete the file for this program. I'm just going to deny all access to the folder so that it cannot load anymore.

It was installed to the directory
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\Desktop.exe

Try getting Spyware Doctor. We're running it right now, and we haven't had anything weird show up since we got it.
