My rear radar detector is harder to see than the front. I think those that saw my car at WCBF this year would agree.

I'll back up the whistler. It was good when I had it. And my one and only escort wasn't worth being turned into a paperweight.

I used http://www.radarbusters.com when deciding which one to get. I ended up with the Whistler Pro 73. I like it so far. Lots of good info on the site too.

Haro, from my experience, I wouldn't rely on it. The difference between my Cobra and My Bel Vector 740 is shocking. Half as many false signals, and twice the range on real signals. I'd hate to see you get burned for a late warning.

Here'* a couple more topics for you:

Before the Bel, the Whistler is the best I ever owned. Escort and Cobra were the worst, with Uniden somewhere in between. Technology has taken some leaps in the last 3 years though. My Whistler moved to the rear window, and can still detect radar from the rear before the Bel up front can. It gives me a '3D detection' sensation. I can tell where the radar source is as I pass it or it passes me.

well i hooked it up just cuz i couldnt resist...

it didnt go off the whole 60 miles to windom...not sure i passed any cops, it was dark. it went off one time during the whole weekend while i was home, but it was a fake warning...

i did go off twice on the way back to kato, once for nothing, and once for a cop turning around a ditch...

i know i passed more then 12 cops easily this weekend...

either this thing sucks, or the cops just dont use their radars as much as i want them too...

i am not going to keep it, i just need to slow down...

on a side note, i got pulled over for my 14th time in 3 years yesterday... :?
for illegal lane change/not signaling...

just a warning, and he tested my tint...14% ooooooops... another warning...
