Does anyone know if you can check the PCM codes on a 92 Mercury the same as you can a GM car. (by jumping terminals on the data connector.) If so, which connectors need to be jumped? Thanks!

nope you cant call your autozone see if they have the connector for it. some do some done get the old white haired guy to do it

I think there is a key-turn sequence that brings up the codes by flashing the light on the dash.

I found a way to do it from a website. You have to ground the dianostic circuit with another plug nearby, then you have to use a voltmeter to get the codes. Ford is retarded and made the sequence WAY too fast to jot the numbers down. The voltmeter will flick with each digit. It'* way too hard to do it that way. guess I'll have to use a scan tool.

First, you need to start the car

Secondly, you need to put it in D

Thirdly, step out of the car

"Fourthly" Aim it for a cliff'* drop off

"Fifthly" Put brick on gas pedal

Once it'* at the bottom, you can see if it went away
