I believe this car will single-handedly save Pontiac, just as the 6000 STE did back in '83. The STE brought performance, handling and looks (yes, it was considered sharp in its time) to a new level back then with a car worthy to compete against the European market. The G8 is finally going to do the same today. I think it looks better in person than it does in pictures.

If the G8 is ANYTHING like they are saying it is, don't expect a GT to hit 15k for a while. There isn't a chance that one will hit 15 in a year or two. Sure, our '03 SSEi was over $36,000 when new and we picked it up for $11,000 when it was five years old. I suspect the G8 GT will still be bringing in quite a bit more then that at five years old. Either way, when one DOES hit $20,000..... It is MINE ( GT, manual trans ONLY ) NO base model for me

i still dont see these leaving dealer floors for anything less than $35k. hey Shadow, i'll take the 7series off your hands if you're gonna downgrade to a g8.

Orders have been placed for the first so many, and noone has reported paying more than MSRP. A few "they said it'll go for a couple thousand over, so I walked out"...
