Agreed, it didnt look like a traditional R/T Charger, it looked like the 3.5L trim level.
I retract that statement actually

You'd have to get the special trim level add-ons.

It'* about time the Ugly Charger got a competitor, and a awesome one at that. The Charger simply can't touch the G8 in comparison. Charger'* interior is that classic plasticky Chrysler interior like my Dad'* Durango.
Oh, and I forsee many mufflers being lopped off G8'* in the future.
Which is good thing of course!

That 6.0 block in the G8 is a fun engine. I have a slightly older version in my C3 (325hp stock). It'* a little sluggish out of the box but a few good breathing tubes and a chip, that engine comes alive something fierce. I can just imagine how fun that G8 would be with a few mods and power adders.
I like the looks of both, but would still rather wait for something like the camaro or (fingers crossed) a Trans Am again.

I thought the chick at the Auto Expo said Pontiac was contemplating a 425 HP 6.2L (or is it 6.1L? - same as in the Escalade) version of the G8. :? Maybe I was delirious.
