Yes, I have to agree with you there.

But even with their service I've had issues. Particularly with my wife'* phone. She'* on her 4th phone now because all the preceeding ones couldn't maintain a signal.

You'll come across bad phones no matter who the provider is...

Yup, we're on Verizon as well. I've never had reception problems on any of my LG phones. I had one Kyocera, and it was OK, but not as good as the LG'*...

might try getting a newer phone, i use Cingular, which i thought was pretty much the only good service provider around here, but lately Alltel has been making an impact on the area too, but Cingular is still better for me, i like the no roaming, very nice...

i have a Motorola V180 and im happy with it, it seems a little cheap sometimes, but it works great, cnet.com gave it an award for best basic phone...i was proud.

i also researched those little things you put on the battery, and supposedly some of them do actually work, but you have to find a real one instead of a cheap knock off, and i dont think theres honestly any way to tell the difference.

I use a Motorola i850, and now since Sprint and Nextel merged, coverage is better than ever. No problems here.

I have verizon, and my friends and I were way up in the mountains a few weeks ago. I got crystal clear service on my samsung, and my two buds on their motorola and LG'* couldn't hold a signal for more than a minute.
