Default Car fell off jack

I know why they invented jackstands. I had the car jacked up using both jacks, now both are destroyed. At least I was not underneath it. I was just swapping tires over to the SSEi, the good part is the SSEi handles great now. The bad part is I have no jacks.

I konw these are going to seem like a stupid questions but..................

Why didn't you have a piece of wood under the jack to keep it from sinking onto the ground?? When the car was up in the air, where were the jackstands????

all good questions. the biggest question is that I have a big garage and no cars were in it at the time why was the car out behind it?

I dont know I guess people do stupid things sometimes.

no damage to the car that I can tell.

that sucks.. how are you going to lift it now to get a wheel back on it? I dont' trust the jacks that come with our cars.. On my old 88 Lesabre I used the jack that came with the car once and won't ever use one again once it gave out after one of the supports BENT allowing the car to fall (onto a jack stand.)

I would have used a board and a real floor jack personally.

Yeah my floor jack is broke I am buying a new one this paycheck along with some jackstands. I have jackstands but they are too tall for these cars since they were for my truck.
