Our top tier of the cake was gone the next day. We had my wife’* family over for a BBQ and ate the top as dessert. The cake was just too good to stick in the freezer for a year.

Our wedding cake made it 3 days then i started thinking about how bad it would taste and we ate it on our honeymoon lol.

Actually the cake wasn't bad at all
I was very surprised.. it actually tasted just fine, not freezer burnt at all!!!
All I did was put the cake in a box, and tape up the seams with packaging tape, nothing else. we pulled it out of the freezer the night before and put it in the fridge, then put it on the counter about 3 hours before eating it.
