I'm awaiting the outcome of this. I didn't even know about this until this thread. But my opinion of the condition of the car? Well....it'* been down there for 50 years. It'* bound to have some rust, but I really dont think it will be all that bad.

I honestly cannot guess the condition, but please keep us updated. BTW the company that built that vault owes the city a refund.

I don't know about rust if it is just water it should be preserved fairly well. It for sure will be dirty but rusted out mmmm

yeah..that plastic did not hold up as well as they planned lol.

look at the driver side tail...

I want to see how bad it really is...it might be completely orange or something. not bad for 100 miles or whatever the odometer says.

It doesn't look like it was completely wrapped in the plastic, just looks covered, in which case the plastic did nothing to protect it. I don't think it will be that bad though. It'* not like the water would eat away the paint to rust what was underneath IMO.
