Default Brush your teeth kids!

Yesterday, I went to the dentist because of an issue with a particular tooth. A tooth that has been broken for some time. I half expected an argument to persue, but I never had to say a darn thing. He said that tooth is coming out whether I liked it or not. I practically hugged the guy.

1st shot of novacaine, I was like whoaa man! Where'* the prep stuff first? He said with his technique, I didn't need the prep. I said ok. Shoot it! I guess his technique worked, I only felt a pinch.

2nd shot. Guess the 1st one didn't cover enough area. This one took me by surprise. Between the tongue and gum. 5 minuts later. All is good! I make a 2 year old teething look good!

He fough with this one. He tried to just pull it, no-go. Next he cut it in half with his Dremel, then used a #1 flathead to pry it out. Ended up breaking more than I wanted him to. (hoping to keep the damn tooth).

Procedure took about 20 minutes. This is the fifth tooth I have had extracted in the past 14 years. And I have a couple more to come out.

Get home, its starting to hurt. Tylenol is not cutting it. My wife gave a me nice concoction. 3 motrin (600mg) and 5mg of Morphine. Wow, that stuff works good!

4am this morning. Pain comes back. Straight for the morphine.

So, remember kids, brush your teeth!

13 crowns here. Only had one pulled though. Not including wisdom teeth.

Perfect set of teeth here. Just had to get my Wisdoms out.

Grew up knowing my father with hardly any teeth, only a few on the bottom. Never wanted to be like that

Next time Mike, come to Purgatory. A couple bottles of Scotch, a pair of pliers, and a few days on the deck, you'll be good as new.

A couple bottles!? You trying to kill me John?

But then again, the dentist does have plans of removing more. I think your option sounds better at the moment.

Mike...with all the pain you were in...next time have them all done at once!

The worst pain I was ever in was when I had four impacted wisdom teeth removed and a week later two of the old teeth holes 'dry socketed' which exposes the roots on the neighboring teeth. I couldn't drink, it hurt to eat and you certainly didn't want to inhale or exhale through your mouth. It hurt clear into my middle ear and deep into the middle ear on both sides of the head. It was excruciating!

How about a Vicodine, three bottles of Scotch, hold the pliers, some ear plugs and suck on an M-80 with a lite fuse. It would be over quick!

Scary. My teeth are in great shape too...My uncle is a dentist and would have our @$$ if there were not!! He makes sure that all family members keep them in great shape and pearly white!

Best of luck on your next removals!
