Bump a thread to update with the same thing, or start a new thread?

I personally bump the thread because I can't stand seeing the same thread multiple times.

Its a bad thing if its outside the lounge because getting technical help in an old thread always proves to be hard. I was just busting Nick'* balls because I really didn't need to see this thread again
