I dunno... looks like the Avalanche was on top in this case:

The Cavelier behind the Neon probably belongs to someone that came out because one of the parties called them. I see that all the time on the road, people that come to help a stranded friend almost always park nose-to-tail with the car that'* broken down or wrecked, to make it easier to move stuff.
