Default Big ol' spider

Sorry, no pics, I was afraid it would disappear before I got back with the camera.

I opened the garage door last night to walk the dog and I instantly notice this large brown mass scurrying away from the door and towards my car parked outside. It was so large that it attracted the attention of the dog and he chased it until it was under the car several feet away. After the dog did his business, I went back with a flashlight and my 18" screwdriver. At first, I couldn't find it. Then something caught my eye, a reflection from a back tire. This thing'* eyes were so big, they visibly reflected the flashlight from several feet away. I went around and poked at it until it came out and I could get a better look at it. It was a typical wolf spider from our area, but it was GINORMOUS. The body was at least 1.25" long. With legs, it was probably 2.5" wide. It quickly resigned to the fact that I didn't seem like a threat and it let me poke at it a bit. The body was kinda squishy, and it took offense to having a screwdriver stuck in it'* face, biting at it. It was by far the largest wild spider I've ever seen.
