Default Welded spider gears?

I just want to know, is it possible? Don't bother telling me that it'* gonna implode my transaxle, halfshafts, and everything else... I already know this! This is for my '88 which has serious traction and torque steer issues. Can it be done?

Yes, it can be done.

Just keep in mind that you should only drive the car straight afterwards. The purpose of a split spider arrangement in the transaxle is that you are steering with the same axle that is providing power. Hense, the split is there so when you turn, each tire can travel at its own speed, since they are each following a different radius.

Oh, by the way...you will implode your transaxle, halfshafts, and everything else...but you already knew that.

yeah, i don't drive it much now that i got the turbo setup and a new car. Its kinda my "daily dogger" if ya know what i mean. I normally drive it on short trips when i want to scare my rustang buddies Ok, fairly simple... take it apart and weld them up, then make sure I have absolutly no traction when i go to turn... It'* gonna be so nice to be able to go in a strit line w/o all that torque steer
