well from what i saw on the Foot Network you can eat them. they dont taste the best all the time, but everything in there is eatable

Yes, you can eat them. Probably not the best tasting cakes with all the fondant (sp?) and stuff, but they are 100% edible.

As far as wanting to, I agree that it'd be tough. Kinda like flipping the Mona Lisa over to take a phone message....
