Default BACK PAIN

Ive been dealing with some major back pain for the past few days and it doesnt seem to be getting better. When I try to get out of bed, im almost paralized and lock up in PAIN! Besides going to a doctor, does anyone have any home remedies I can try out for the rest of the week/weekend?

Ive been taking Motrin like a **** and a muscle relaxer to help me get to sleep.

Pain Patches. Icey Hot, Ben Gay, etc. I live with chronic back pain (long, rough life) and I swear by those things. A good hot saok in the tub, slap a patch over the source of the pain, and you'll feel better, at least temporarily, in no time. They do tend to smell like menthol, but they freakin' work!!

An Asian friwend of mine here at work brought me some called SALONPAS that are awesome! They are nice and small, work great, but have a strong mentholatum smell. And he says you have to go to the asian markets to get them.

When I hurt my back a couple months ago, doctor put me on a anti-inflammatory and Vicodin. That Vicodin really helped.

I wake up every day like that.

Try alternating between Motrin and Aleve.

A firmer mattress will help too. Try putting a sheet of plywood between the box spring and mattress.

I switch to an air bed you can adjust.
