You guys looking for a sniping service? www.esnipe.com was recommended in Guitar Player as a good one. Check it out if you're interested.

Thanks for the tips... but PJ will agree "We don't need no stinkin service" (Mexican drawl)

Plus..isn't using a service like using cruise control on an L67?

I'll agree, I don't need no stinkin' service. Ummm, cruise control? L67? ok, I'm guilty.. I admittedly use my cruise control.

To better myself, I'll go cold turkey, and get off the cruise for this week.....

Only reason I use cruise control is to keep from driving too fast

The cruise control doesn't get effected by whatever pulls up next to ya or a nice open stretch of road.

what gets me are people who bid on there own auctions under a diff name.
But then again it saved my *** once. i was bidding on an old car with seconds left and nobody bid on it for hours.
I was the high bidder so im thinking.oh well I guess I bought a car.
then out of nowhere BAM somebody outbid me.
whew now like an hour later the seller emails me to tell me the high bidder
backed out and I can have the car for my price.
to bad sucker

I learned how to snipe after my very first auction on ebay, I was the only bidder so I watched it in the lasdt few minutes thinking I had it made and wham.... 7 seconds to close it got sniped. I thought about it for a few minutes and figured out what was going on. Now I am guilty of it on most of the auctions I bid on I am afraid.

Oh well, when in rome....

My first few auctions were just like that. I kept trying to bid like you're supposed to and saw the way it was done.

Then also said to myself. How does anyone know if you just saw it at the last second and wanted it?

Now it'* either buy it now (good feature) or snipe for me.

I use esnipe if it is something I want and won't be around to bid on when it ends. I don't like to bid and let others know I'm interested. I don't want to start a bidding war.

Esnipe doesn't always work though. I have had a few auctions lost cuz they didn't get the bid in there in time or it says that there was a problem accessing the website.
